started making handmade cards for a hobby in 2000. I made my first lot
of wedding stationery in 2004 for my mother who was remarrying. This soon followed by an order by my cousin, from then
I made a friends daughters stationery and after that all her friends waned me to do their stationery.
I have always been artistic and creative and enjoy many crafts. I first started cake decorating classes at the end
of 2007 and soon found I had a natural talent for making and designing cakes. Unfortunately I didn't get chance
to have many lessons, so most of what I know is self taught and with the help and advice of fellow cake decorators at the
British Sugarcraft Guild.
Most of my first cakes were for family
and friends but I have since built up a client base through word of mouth and recommendations.
I totally and utterly love designing and making cakes and stationery. Its not work,
its doing my favourite hobby on a daily basis and getting paid for it, what could be better.
I won't send a cake or wedding stationery to a client without me be happy with it, which sometimes means
a bit extra work for me but I believe all my cakes and stationery should be made to the best of my ability.
with all thast in mind I got the idea of combining my two favourite things cakes and wedding stationery.
I like to offer my clients a totally personal service and make cakes and stationery that
are designed especially for them.
I love to be given an idea or colour scheme and work from there.
I like to offer is a very personal service that is professional , up to date and very customer focused, with that
little extra touch.
After moving to Darlington in September 2009 I decided to set up my business working from
home full time. Things moved from strength to strength and soon become too much to do from my home, so in October 2010
I opened my first shop on Bondgate in Darlington.
